I read Bashy’s KOL story in comic form.

I feel it’s a propaganda piece, with the fetuses not actually appearing out of nowhere like some random plague – the implication is they are actually the result of Bashy’s complete irresponsibility (and inexperience?) with fornication. He probably porked so many women in his village, the sudden mbumive deluge of fetuses was due to some Pavlovian abortion command, like a stone famine or something. The killing of Bashy’s brother is probably a metaphor for the babies bankrupting his family (causing his brother to go an hero), then bankrupting the village, leading to the mbum exodus.

Really Bashy, you have no one to blame but yourself.
