Chapter 5

Soon after arriving at the Middle Ages, John scares a man who is not used to his modern dress. But this doesn’t phase him in the least, and he begins his merry quest to find the chaos magic. A meets a ‘breastiful maiden’ and asks her where he could find a inn, and she directs him to the ‘green man’ who owns a tavern in the city square.

So he meets with the green man and goes up to his room, where he contemplates the location of the chaos magic and also how to hide his high-tech watch. After scaring the man earlier, he can not take any more chances or he may change the future forever. Suddenly, he hears a voice through the window!

“It would be dangerecks to show face of vision to see such marvels”

Through the window, a fairy has been prying on him. Willing to ignore her intrusion, John tells her his name and that he is from America. The fairy is confused and does not know where it is – John simply skirts around the details saying that you need a very large boat to get there.

The fairy, satisfied with this answer says that she will answer two questions of his truthfully.

Peter Chimaera, master at plot twists pulls another one right before our eyes. The hints have been building up to this all along. John reveals that the fairy is not a fairy at all, but rather just a machine from the future! John interrogates the machine.

”Tell me where the chaos magic is!”

“A CHASO MAGIC DOESNT EXIST” said the machine “YOU HAVE WbumTED YUR TIME” and selfdestorked with one greatened explosive.

This is a major setback for our hero. Does the magic even exist at all? Has all this time travel been for nothing, stranding our hero in the past while the future is destroyed. John can not give up, and despite the distressing appearance of the machine and its foreboding message it brought, he pulls himself together and carries on with the mission.
