Keep them all segregated form the world in small cells; no light except for when you open the age-rusted gate to strap them onto the ground for their daily torture. Be sure to wear a thick black mask as to protect yourself from their hateful gazes, for their fates are decided by their own hand. Prepare your tools and your leather straps, used to secure each book on the cold dungeon bricks for their torture. Prick each pristine page oh-so-slightly with bamboo toothpicks until all are punctured, being sure to slide the wood back and forth before exiting each page. Put a pair of steel pliers to their spines, and slowly squeeze until the glue begins to break. Stop all the first signs of marking, for the true scars are yet to come from the fields of combat. Gargle with a foul liquid of your choosing, and spit on their once valued inks.

Give each no food, no water, for several days. Only on the final day will you allow them to feast on roast beast, with plenty of water…slight tainted with the paper of the pages of the other two books, respectively in each book’s grail.

With great pomp and ceremony, drag them from the darkness and into the light of your battlezone. Place them all inside of the arena at different ends, throwing them at your leisure to each corner. Arrange traps, pitfalls, wild beasts and the like in order to maintain the elements of surprise, for only the true master shall walk away alive. Weapons are only used at your discretion; it is much more feesable to see these once-proud warriors dig up their remaining strength to prove themselves in the ultimate tournament of Suess.
