Simple. Because we have no way of protecting pages. And mods’ pages would normally be protected.

Let’s say a newbie comes around (and they exist, trust me) and wants to learn a bit more about their friendly neighborhood mod. They look them up and see some clever vandalism like LOL fabulous person LOL has been imposed. They think to themselves that chaos clearly reigns supreme in this place if mods can’t even protect their own pagtes.

Do we want new players to believe that chaos reigns supreme in this place? No. No, we most certainly do not.

tl;dr:

Simple solution: vandalise the mod’s page so that it retains the bull**** about not vandalising said page.

Then enquiring newbies can learn that JB is, in fact, LOL fabulous person LOL, *and* that they’re not supposed to vandalise it themselves.
