I think that’s p. much intentional. In other places, cheaters are not affected by rollover events. For example, you don’t have to wait a day for Ravit to get back to you back near the beginning of Ep1. In this case, it looks like the rollover event of setting the time for HugMasta to talk to you again is excluded. But the ones for Geraldine and for HugMasta’s tubmails are not.
