Roll two dice when facing another person, which order are they in? Who decides? A 2 and a 1, no matter from which side you read it, is the same result. This gives the result of 3, an odd result, only one possible combination. That of one die reading 1 and the other die reading 2. Six, an even result, can be both dice reading 3, one die reading 2 and the other die reading 4 or one die reading 1 and the other die reading 5. While the percent chance to see an even or an odd number remains constant, there are not the same number of combinations for each.
To help explain the craps reference, this is also why 7 is the crap number. It has more combinations than the other numbers. |
