Depends on the version. There are many, many tutorials on how to make animated gifs from video clips all over the internet. It’s not that difficult and can lead to a far more original and unique avatar if you’re willing to put the time and effort in. Actually the hardest part I’ve found is getting the higher quality animations to fit under the file size requirements. C’est la vie.
