Gimmicks by definition have no depth and I wouldn’t clbumify those examples of your as gimmick alts. Gimmick alts those are like good post upvoted. Look, its not a question of semantics. And we don’t need anymore of Banhammer’s and everyone else’s lies about the state of role playing and why people don’t do it.

Look, here is a fact. A better way to encourage role playing is to reward those that are already role playing. Like what SRSLY used to do. Award brownie points to those who were voted the best role player in a period of time. Not to people that might, one day, eventually, if they get around to it and aren’t too busy role play.

I’m using the “gimmick” pejorative ironically. Of course I want these characters to have depth and longevity.

The idea is for people to come up with funny, unique concepts and see them through. I fully agree that longtime role-players ought to get recognition as well. But this contest is primarily to motivate those players who have good ideas and give them some BP help to get them off the ground.

We have other, greater ideas of how to reinvigorate the community up our sleeves. A lot of it will have to wait until Ep 3 is wrapped, though.
