The big unanswered questions are how powerful the IOU’d items will be, and how rare/expensive they’ll be in Ep3. If they’re powerful, but will be in the clbum stores for a fair price, then it makes more sense to wait than bid on them now. On the other hand if we’re expecting them to be powerful but not easily available, or powerful but more expensive than the auctions now, then bidding is the way to go.

To cover all the options, if they’re not going to be powerful (which would be a bit of a ****) then the only point in bidding is to have a potentially-rare item in your collection, but I think it’s safe to bumume they’ll be v.good items.

People do seem reluctant to bid too much on an IOU though; the unknowns make it a risky venture… thing is, if we demanded and got more detail (and that detail was that they weren’t going to be particularly rare or expensive) then it could actually leave them less valuable than before.
