A woman has the right to abort a fetus whether or not the man who impregnated the woman wants the pregnancy to be brought to term.

If a woman aborts the fetus and the man didn’t care to be a father in the first place, no problem.

But what about when the man doesn’t care to be a father and the woman pretty much decides for him? Why should he be held responsible for 18+ years for a decision that wasn’t his?

Once he impregnates her, whether or not to have a child becomes her decision. There is no baby but merely a bunch of cells with the potential to become one. She has absolute control of what to do with those cells. If the woman wants to have the child when the man doesn’t, then she alone should be financially responsible for the child. Is it fair that women can decide fatherhood for men in this age of morning-after pills and legal abortions?
