The first hacker invented the wheel somewhere between 5000 and 4000 BC – or roughly 6-7 thousand years ago. It’s fuction was for pottery originally. Obviously such a device that can rotate on its axis has more use and it soon found its way to carry and transport – some of the oldest wagons and carts known to man are from around 3700 BC. And there is recorded evidence of wheels in use as a vehicle in 3500 BC.

Wheels being discussed by what appear to be cavemen is extremely inaccurate, Cro-Magnon bones date back to about 28-35 thosand years ago, about 22 thousand years before the invention of the wheel.
