Hey I have a question for you! How what’s the difference between a W-2 and a 1099? My friend keeps talking about how he can write off most of his expenses, but my CPA says I can only write off my interest payments on my mortgage, charities, and my retirement. What gives?

I took Integrated Accounting 1 & 2 this past year in college, and I can safely say I have absolutely no idea what gives. ^-^ Hope that helps!
