If they’re going to be separate, it should show the damage on each entry – so if repair costs are such a burden on you, you can choose to sell off the damaged one and keep the fresh one.

Equip the fresh one, then go to sell. The Ppwne Shoppe doesn’t show anything you have equipped as available for sale.
