Okay, how about this, if you wanted to watch a cartoon (I don’t think we knew the word “animation”­), you had to wait till Saturday morning. Oh also, if you wanted to send someone far away a message, you had to buy something called a “stamp”, and it would take like a week to get a reply.

We used to dial our phones. Do kids these days even know why the term is “dial”?

The were on cords, too. You couldn’t walk far from them and continue talking to someone. And if you called and they were busy, there was no such thing as “call waiting”. You could also prank call people because they had no idea who was calling them — no caller ID.

We’re way off topic now, though. If we want to continue this discussion of our younger years, let’s move it to Ayn Rands. (How I wish the forum had a “split thread” function!)
