I call bull****s on that. FLCL has a lot of serious layers underneath the silliness. That’s one of the reasons why I like it so much. And the subtlety of the seriousness contrasts really well with the prominence of the silliness.
Anyway. The last anime I watched was Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. That kind of managed to kill my interest in anime though, since I was left with a feeling of “can anything really top this?” |
