For one, if someone thinks they have an extremely rare file and are unwilling to part with it for less than a million, why stop that? It may not sell, and therefore the auctionhouse makes money.

One thing I’d like to see change, though, is the fees for listing items with reserves. At this time, it’s just as cheap to list an item with a reserve than without, so why not? You should ‘tax’ a percentage of the reserve.
