I was tired and panicked that my account would get compromised, or that someone would see something I entrusted only to tubs and the admins, so I clicked on “ban for this post” rather than just “ban”. And there’s no good way to change that without unbanning him and banning him again, which is just busy work.

solution: unban him then don’t ban him again
