Can you even sell them? I remember them showing up in the Ppwn Shoppe. I have heard that the normal way involves a payment plan that so far doesn’t actually charge anything, but if it later becomes an issue, I want any potential alternate dialogue.



You will only get alternate dialogue if you purchase it as the story intends.
