Actually, no. Remember how there was such a stink over Enron and Worldcom’s accounting practices? Where do you think they learned it? The federal government! For several years, the feds dumped the “excess” social security taxes into the budget to make it look balanced. But that was accounting fiction at best, and lying at worst. Counting future liabilities as part of the current budget would land them in jail were they not part of the federal government.

Having said that, Bush’s war on individual rights plus the federal reserve’s currency inflation has destroyed the economy. He’s nearly as bad as Lincoln, Wilson, and FDR.
