There really isn’t any good solution to the alt thing. People should be able to play their alts if they want to. The alt bunching happens whether you are trying to group them or not. I’ve purposely spread out getting them in bracket over 2 days and still ended up with 3 or 4 in a bracket. It’s almost impossible not to since the medal reduction.

Honestly, it might just be better to have no sorting order – everyone is random all the time. Sure it would mean that experienced Dom players were in with new players every week, but they already are whenever new alts are built.
