Some people just find it easier to embrace the pain. How can you judge us for that? We most certainly judge ourselves more harshly than you ever could.

I’m not judging. Quite the contrary.

But I’ve been reading a lot of National Geographic lately, and I find it charming that a little girl in a distant war-torn country who may have had to eat her siblings to survive still finds it in her to smile, while in our cul-de-sacs we have young folk cutting themselves because of thier parents.
