Actually, I’m glad I randomly found this, because I was wondering about the meaning of the term “Troll”.... And really, I tend to agree with the original poster in the fact that there IS a difference between Trolling and Flaming people…. From what I understand, Trolling used to just be when some bumhat would pop into a thread and say something completely outrageous/rude/random/stupid to throw the whole topic off, and then either leave or sit back and watch the lulz roll in over the madness that ensued afterwords. Flaming, on the otherhand, is when someone seeks out to actually ‘attack’ a poster or thread, usually using insults and things that are generally uncalled for and unfunny, or just downright hurtful….
