My father is Cuban, with Lebanese and Spaniard grandparents. My mother is Puerto Rican with American/German/Puerto rican blood.

There is definitely a cultural component to the determination of “race.”

In Canada, Latinos and Latinas are considered white, whereas in the U.S., they are not. This has long intrigued me.
