If you’re looking for good Canadian pop in that vein, you can’t go wrong with the Meligrove Band. I’d describe them as being of Montreal-like, but with somewhat better chops and none of that band’s “psychedelic” frippery. Of course, what do I know about music? Log in to see images!

I just got Alopecia by Why?, they call themselves pop inflected psychadelic folk-hop. Highly reccommended.
