I mean, I guess the argument is that pointing out typos is wrong?
However, the dev team clearly stated that they wanted to know about typos.
Thus, as long as a typo exists, it should be pointed out. Unless perhaps it was said not to be a typo, but in this case, it clearly is, as the dictionary and encyclopedia both agree, and furthermore there is no context in which this might be considered a deliberate typo.
Edit: I’d also like to point out that it isn’t the same typo, although it is the same misspelling. And since the typo thread has disappeared (or at least, I can’t find it) it requires making a new thread. It’s not a typo or spelling mistake.
Yes, the word is not in the dictionary, but neither is “Pwnage.” We use a lot of words that are slang or colloquialisms, that although would not be found in the dictionary are indeed spelled right.
Now if we’d spelled it fecolphiliac, you might have a case.
