yeah.. pretty much my thoughts have been expressed already. I mean, it’s 4chan and it sucks bla bla bla, but when they start censoring stuff it’s just not right. It’s like when they took down goatse.cx, it’s not something you want to watch all day long, but taking stuff down it’s not funny Log in to see images!

4chan do have the little pop up warning that its not for the eyes of minors and so on and if someone doesnt want to see like bad images they shouldnt go on the site so really its the choice of the person what they want to see or not see. |

What added to the hilarity, for me, is that 4chan was ddos’d because of this and it was probably the 4chan kids that did it. That’ll show ‘em! |

it’s a lot like employers having the right to read your email and intercept traffic you generate on their computers.
they own the service and equipment and you’re allowed to use it under their enforcement.
the ISP provides the service and if they don’t want to give a full internet experience, it’s the start of a slippery slope of course but they have every right to do so. the consumer then gets to decide if this ISP deserves their business.
once all ISPs filter traffic and block of portions of the web we will have an enormous problem. |

echuu’s post makes a good point. Frankly, if I’m a major service provider, and an attack, even a tangental and relatively minor one, affects me, I’m not going to ask questions. I’m going to block first and then ask questions. I don’t really blame AT&T at all. |
