I really think the whole “last post was 2 minutes ago” is not needed when you have the whole “30 new” thing. I would rather see who made the last post in a thread. In away, it dictates if I am going to read a thread and it will make it easier to see if a moderator posts in a forum rules sticky. |

I love most of the changes really. It’s really nice to be able to tell RP and non-RP apart at a glance. And being able to see what forum an active topic is in really helps (mainly to ignore kyoubai topics).
I share the dislike for the colors, though. Some themes really clash with them (camwhore, default). Would also rather see last poster rather than how long ago the post was made like was said.

I like the changes so far, still need to explore some more and see. Just from first glance, things look more professional.
However, I’m a little saddened that people want to have an option to switch back to the old style or back and forth. So far, it seems that the new visual implementations are meant to draw clear lines between RP and Non-RP. Which so far it seems like it just might.
Sometimes you have to be smacked over the head with something to know it’s there. Sad, but true. |

Ok, lived with it for a day. Most of what I don’t like is cosmetic or easy to script around. I actually do miss last poster info.
Everything else is a huge improvement. I can actually stay on top of the discussions I care about by refreshing http://www.forumwarz.com/discussions/civil every hour or so. Mbumive thumbs up! |

There…spent some time in there. I like it. I’m not one to get picky over colors or crap like that. I do get picky over functionality. I’m just guessing, as only experience and time will tell, but the lateral views force the brain to move one way or the other, and this inofitself is a way to train the brain.

Some more updates:
The width is now fluid and should use the full width of your browser. I don’t like the way it makes the banners look on the split page but we’ll try it out.
Over 9000 no longer blinks, it’s just red.
Due to overwhelming demand, last post is now the poster. If you moseover you get how long ago it was. |

Good solid tweaking there. The fluid width solves a major point of disagreement, and caters to both whims. And reversing the last post time/last poster is a nice fix as well. |

However, just a small nitpick, probably for after all this is dealt with… would there be a way for the “X posts unread” to stay accurate even if you jump back from the last page of, say a contest, to check the rules on the first page? From what I’m seeing now, it just checks the most recent “last post” you’ve seen, rather than the overall last post. |

ET, could we change the color of the ‘X# New’ link to something other than blue? It seems to blend in too much with the Civil Discussion background. Maybe red would be a better color? Edit: Or even orange, since that’s a primary ForumWarz color?
