I dunno, when you think about it, trolls usually make use of memes in a similar fashion. Many troll concepts, such as ‘pics or it didn’t happen’ or ‘no girls on the internet’ are the source of memetic concepts. I’m not sure memewhores have enough details implicit in their offline behavior, like trolls, camwhores and emos do. As things stand there’s already a strange power imbalance between the negative impact of trolls and the pseudo-positive impact of camwhores and emos. In this light, memewhores would become a nonentity. |

I don’t think so. Camwhores, Trolls, and Emo Kids all are centered around certain types of Internet personalities, which in turn determines their mechanics. Your proposed clbum would be centered around a mechanic that doesn’t really have a specific personality to go with it. Memes could be used by any clbum, though of course Trolls probably make more use of them then any other. |

I think the “SME” (Subject Matter Expert) would be a good clbum. Every forum has one, you know the dude who LIVES on the forum and weighs in with his opinion in every thread. Answers every question (asked or unasked), displays encyclopediac knowledge of whatver the forum subject is. |

How about a clbum for technically/computer inept people, like my mom, who fails at even double-clicking.
One of the abilities could be: – Double/Triple/Quadruple Post (Post the same message 2/3/4 times in succession “by accident”.)

We don’t need to see Goatse in every forum. Replace with “IT’S OVER 9000!”.
Anyway – it sounds alright, but more of something to do with Permanoob/Troll.
My best idea for a clbum has been an artist clbum, that branches into different kinds of artistry. Something like:
Van Goghin’ All the Way: – Post a Sketch * 8-10 damage * -2 Snobiness * 1 Refresh – Discuss Artistic Movements in Great Detail * 27-30 damage * -4 Snobiness * 3 Refresh – Give Free Avi Art * +35-40 Ego * +4 Defense for 3 turns * -5 Snobiness * 3 Refresh – Nude Art, the Good Stuff! * 63-66 damage * -9 Snobiness * Refresh 2
An Guitar Hero: – My Favorite…: * Band: 7-10 damage, Guitarist: 10-15 damage, Guitar Smash: 15-20 damage (Random chance) * -1 Snobiness * 1 Refresh – YouTube Link to Me Playing * +2 Offense * +2 Defense * -5 Snobiness * 5 Refresh – Pics of My… * Gear (Pedals, etc.): 15-20 Damage, Amp: 20-30, Guitar: 30-50 (Chosen randomly) * -4 Snobiness * -2 Refresh – Youtube link to Guitar Shred Solo * 55 Damage * More Damage with high Snobiness * -25 Snobiness * Refresh 1

Consider a “noob” clbum. Actual n00bs, not just re res. Similar to an earlier suggestion of “computer inept”, but add in attacks like “Stupid question”, that has messages such as “h0w U m1n3 4 f1sh?” or “wh3r3 th4 st0r3?”.
This may be a bit cursory, but it’s an idea. |
