I don’t know what’s going on so I’d like to participate.

I am not. I said between 1-3PM EST I would release the hints. But that point is moot. Somebody has found the solution to Challenge Q. C_Wenhoo is our official winner and he recieve’s the 4BP prize. May he get laid. DarkHaunter was our mystery winner… may he get laid too.
Now I’m sure you are all wondering what the answers were. And I will tell you but, there might be a few people out there who want a chance to figure this out on your own. If you do, go ahead and solve them I will post them here. If you do solve them you can tubmail me so other may have the same chance. You won’t win anything except the satisfaction in knowing you can crack my “complex” ciphers. And yes, I will also give the hints to 4 and 5.

CHALLENGE 1.1:

This is pretty easy. Just run this through a binary decoder to get the text “What is this text in hex?” The problem is some people didn’t write the text in hex which was: “57 68 61 74 20 69 73 20 74 68 69 73 20 74 65 78 74 20 69 6e 20 68 65 78 3f”.
CHALLENGE -2:
3135352f34382f323535 is what?
It is not a number.
This was a hex number. It gives you 155/48/255 in text. Those numbers relate to RGB values. Red Green Blue. Those will give you Purple. Purple1 to be exact, but I wasn’t a hardbum so any purple was fine.

HINT FOR 22/7: B, A, O, H
This used multiple codes for each letter. First was binary, ASCII, octal, and hex. After hex the pattern repeats back to binary. The text should read “Bon Jovi rides what kind of horse”. The answer which some failed to give me was “Steel”, as it says in the song Wanted Dead of Alive.

This caused a lot of people trouble. Every other binary set was reversed. After reversing them the text will give you “WHAT IS 6 TIMES 9 IN BASE 13”. The answer of course is 42. It was not neccessary to tell me it was the answer to “Life, the universe and everything”, but a few did. Good on you.

HINT FOR Q: The final method in which to solve this gets shorter the further along you go. And then repeats.
Also quite a tricky one. This is a hex code. After decoding it, it’ll give you binary in text. After decoding binary it will give you the text “yshrzsgm vnb yvetqpi”. Then you must use an backwards contant changing ROT13 method. “Y” would be ROT13 giving you “L”. “S” would be be ROT12 giving you “E”. “H” would use ROT11 giving you “S”, and so on and so forth. When you get to “E” it would be ROT0. Then the pattern repeats at ROT1. The final message is “Lesbians are awesome”. And that they are. The reason I said the method gets long is because that’s how I encoded it… I forgot the one must work backwords to decode it.

So in conclusion congratulations to not only our winner, but also all of you who participated. I know I had fun, and I hope you all did too. Maybe in the future I will create more contests so keep excising those brains. Give all of yourself a pat on the back.
