If CZ would make ForumWarz open source we could finally have things like a Forumwarz Iphone app or a ForumWarz Facebook app and it would allow some of the FWZ users that are always posting their ideas on the boards to actually implement some of them within the game without having to wait for Crotch Zombie to do it for them.

It’s not like there wouldn’t be rules in place to try and stop people from going in and screwing with the game.

I’m sure if you actually had the knowledge to make an INCIT app for the Iphone ET would help you out and supply some code. But that’s not open source and a very specific case.

All I see happening is people re-hosting the game on external sites making crappy parodies of a parody.

Some people could do cool stuff with some of the source. He knows who they are and if ET wanted he could contract them in with a non-disclosure agreement to do specific work. Maybe creeppipe on the iphone, invariel on the dom page sort of thing.

How would ET actually know who to seek out to do these things. I think if ForumWarz was Open Source in a sort of way like GenerichHaxor just suggested it work out where all those things would get done in a faster and more efficient manner than just having ET going on an endless search to find people to do stuff for him.

I’d rather see work go to people who know their stuff and can do a good job than the entire site library go to everyone and be desecrated.
