Ok, I guess xs.to images don’t work.

Ok, after all that, let’s try this. Log in to see images!
That works, and so I guess it means I found a bug. An annoying one. A series of dashes in a URL of any kind gets some of them converted to some other code that breaks. (view post) |

User tool: Build checkerFran Posted:I think the best I can do with the technology available is to add a divider and have “preloaded” builds after loading blank clbumes. Take a look. See what you think.

It also looks like I may have found an Opera-related minor bug. When selecting the troll build (blank or flezz), sometimes “txt atax” doesn’t “undisable”. I double checked the code that might be causing it (so far as I know) and it looks to be in good order. If anyone can reproduce the problem with another browser, I’ll take a closer look and try to retrace the code to figure out what might be causing it. Otherwise, I’ll chalk it up to an Opera quirk. That article was about earning money as a troll. And for that purpose, it seems to be about as optimal as can be achieved (unless some new forum has obsoleted it). And the article states early on that it’s not concerned about domination. If you have a recommendation for a build you’d like to see added for Domination, I could do that. If it’s the word “optimal” you’re having trouble with, then I’m willing to listen to alternate possibilities for the naming of that build.
I try to not be an unreasonable person. I’m willing to change things to be more user and/or language friendly/clear, but so far, I still haven’t seen any compelling reason to change anything. (view post) |

User tool: Build checkerIn regards to the optimum troll build, it’s the build as laid out here: http://www.forumwarz.com/spoilers/wiki/How_To_Earn_Flezz_As_A_Troll So far as I know, if there is an optimal (not counting the DML), that’s it. If there is an optimal for the DML, I’ll add it when provided with the build details. If people want to start from scratch, that’s an option. If people want to start with the “flawed” optimal build, and then change them to their own version of optimal, that’s an option too.
I figure it’s better to leave the option in, since it does no harm, and leave it as an option than to remove it because some might not find it useful. (view post) |

User tool: Build checkerMinor bug fix. Thanks to URMOMLAWL for pointing out that the last level of Luck was incorrect. The cost has been fixed. (view post) |

User tool: Build checkerBig changes. Instead of choosing levels, there are now verbose choices (+150 ego, “Post Bra Shot + Underwear Shot”, etc)
Also fixed a minor glitch on choosing a re-re from any clbum that didn’t have re-re skills (including the starter ”—”Log in to see images! (view post) |

User tool: Build checkerI’m not real familiar with the effects of the DML, but if memory serves, it gives insane boosts to defense (already not invested), offense, and db. So, from the optimum build, you could zero out offense, and DB and reinvest the points elsewhere. With the repair cost of the DML, it’s possible that upkeep should be maximized at the expense of frugality and luck as well.
If someone can get me a convincing DML Optimal troll build, I’ll incorporate it. Same for optimal camwhore and emokid builds. Re-Re too, if anyone feels like it. (view post) |

User tool: Build checkerOne more tweak. From the wiki, I have taken the optimum troll build. If you select “Optimum Troll”, it will prefill all the correct fields and recalculate the points used and remaining. It also conveniently changes the chosen clbum back to “Troll” so that you can change things up and down from there as you see fit. (view post) |

User tool: Build checkerFound that my triggers that should have been zeroing out costs and levels for skills that were being lost (changing from troll to emokid, with points invested in troll-only skills, for example) weren’t being properly zeroed out. Added a little more code to explicitly make sure that when changing character types, skills being lost were zeroed before becoming disabled. (view post) |

User tool: Build checkerAdded the color change to the points remaining field. Turns out it was a relatively trivial thing to add. (view post) |

User tool: Build checkerOver the last couple days, I have built a tool that should help people pre-decide what to buy with their upgrade points when using haxlrose.
http://killermist.com/buildcheck.htm is the current iteration of the version I have been building. It’s not well commented, but it should be moderately readable because of how I formatted it. I plan to shortly add a color change to the “points left” field so that if you go negative, it goes red, but otherwise remains a light green.
I welcome all comments, especially bugs. I did error checking on anything that I was playing with that didn’t seem to act right. (view post) |

Ban reasons pollI just wanted to quickly jump back in and reiterate that I think that all-caps in non-RP forums should continue to be actionable because I feel it goes over that line of acting like an bumhole, and actually being one. Non-RP is where out-of-character discussions are supposed to occur. Trollish perma-yell is not appropriate there, from my point of view.
However, complete opposite side of the coin, I think that thread-jacking is a valid activity in RP forums because you’re in-character, and doing something trollish like that IS appropriate there, again from my point of view.
[edit] I think that trollish threadjacking is a valid activity in the same way I’d expect an emokid to try to threadjack a troll or camwhore thread with whatever’s crawled up his bum and made him cry recently, or a camwhore might try to threadjack some other thread with whatever reason you’re supposed to pay attention to them this moment. Ban reasons pollRetained (but maybe reduced to 2 or 3 warnings before ban): All caps in non-RP forums. Non-RP forums are out of character. Noone should be responding to anything in an in-character way.
Not Added: Derailing a RP thread. RP forums are Role playing. Maybe an emokid creates a thread, knowing (OOC) that it’ll probably be derailed, giving him more reason (IC) to cry and maybe hate trolls. A Camwhore could do the same thing for similar reasons. If your thread is sufficiently serious that you don’t want it derailed, then don’t post it in an RP forum. RP forums should have the least rules.
Also not added: For acting OOC in IC environments. (view post) |

Leather cat maskYou can also change up equipment so that you wear things for combat into combat, and then after you’re done fighting forums for the day, equip your charisma boosting glbumes (if you have them yet) so they’ll boost your deliveries at rollover. Then reequip your combat glbumes to hit forums again, etc.
The Tinted Sunglbumes were available a couple of days ago, and I finally picked those up. I don’t know if the +3 charisma does much good, but if I can help encourage the randomness to give me better stuff, then I’ll do that. (view post) |
