	POLL: Should downvoting in Forumbuildr be eliminated? meeeeeeeeee Posted: The voting system sucks and will continue to suck more and more, in a downward spiral of suck, because there is no reason or incentive to use your votes well. It might be better to ditch it as a failed experiment, and move over to an entirely different approach. How about instead something team based? A team of players design a forum and all its elements, the forum can be tested ‘live’ and then everyone votes on completed results to see which one gets our blessing that week. If you have stuff you want to contribute to someone elses forum idea, ask to join their team. Also it might give klans another focus than talking **** in the forums and domination. 	As much as I hate to say this because for the past months ForumBuilder has been exceeding my expectations... Vuron Posted: For newbie players the reward can be worthwhile at the low levels, at the high level it’s completely pointless. You could institute a sliding scale of payments like (Character level x Flezz reward x forumbuildr score). That way a level 10 player with a forumbuildr score of 2 might get a couple of thousand while a level 35 with a forumbuildr score of 20 might make a relatively huge amount of money. 	Leaderboards are Fnucked. SG94 Posted: If the board’s thrown out in (say) three days, how is that fair to players who reach the cap a day later? Because it isn’t. Even I have the rotten leaderboard Peen while I didn’t even start playing E2 until after my other fabulous persons beat it. Is that fair? If so, what about my Re-Re who has been stuck by a bug for three days now? He’s screwed out of it? What about players who tried to get this peen for MONTHS making serious effort, sacrificing week after week of domination for this peen that is now just an automatic bonus upon hitting the cap (which already gives E-Peen) until some completely arbitrary cutoff point? This sucks. Normally I’d agree, but this isn’t an e-peen for the Level Cap, it’s an e-peen for a leaderboard. Leaderboards aren’t supposed to be equal opportunity, anyway, and they never have been. Clbum, date joined, forums unlocked, and even luck/game bugs have always played a role in excluding people from leaderboard e-peens. The fact that a game quirk has made it easy for a great deal of us to get the e-peen doesn’t change that. Anyone (other than Re-Res) who has sacrificed months of effort should be able to pull this off in the next couple days, and if you ARE a Re-Re you never had a chance at the top anyway. Any person who doesn’t have Episode 2 might find this tricky, but if you sacrificed months of effort but don’t want to spend ten dollars on the biggest content update the site has ever had… well, that’s just wacky. 	POLL: Should downvoting in Forumbuildr be eliminated? I’d agree with trying this on a probational period, but I partly agree with gigerth. Right now the true problem rests not with the voting system but with voters: they don’t have very good taste. Log in to see images! when i do compete my best ** is voted down and my worst ** is voted up. the new crowd of forumwarz is just not very good at judging stuff, and that’s a problem that eliminating downvoting will not fix. So I’d try it out and see if any good comes of it, but frankly I don’t expect a lack of a downvote to change things. (view post)	10/29/2008
	Lost E-Peen? <Spoilers possibly> There was a problem with this, but it was thought to be fixed. Are you sure your tubmail contained a LOLcat and not a LOLduck? A few people (okay just one person I remember off-hand) had a problem with that. Only the LOLcat gets you the e-peen, so if you got a duck it’s tough luck.
