I have never agreed with or disputed whether or not spamming dragons, porn, making dragons bannable, or anything else was the right thing to do, all of my comments were directed solely at you. Personally I also think that people are overreacting to this whole dragon thing, most of the people who want dragon spam banned from RP forums are people who don’t spam themselves, and don’t mind or at least accept that other kinds of spam are allowed there, but for some reason are especially irked by the dragon spam, which I think is just silly, however when someone who was spamming things for fun comes back and says they don’t want any more spam when it finally starts to annoy them wants to talk about stopping all of the spamming, I just cant keep my mouth shut about it. Especially when what they are complaining about isn’t any worse than what they were doing in the context of the rules, just something that happened to rub them in the wrong way. You aren’t even repentant about it, I would understand this thread if you were, but you specifically state that the only reason you want the spam stopped is because you’re getting too much flak for it. If you’re going to be a jerk online, at least know that people are not going to be happy about it.

Here’s the thing about spamming, and all trolling in general, people do it because it’s fun for them. Annoying the heck out of people over the internet is fun. But annoying the heck out of someone who annoyed you first is even more fun, and satisfying. If you really don’t like spamming, the only ways to stop it are to either get the rules changes so its prohibited or just ignore it as you said, but some people would rather have more fun and start a spam war. Hence why I said you need more conviction instead of saying whether it’s right or wrong, because I know it’s a fun thing to do, but there will invariably be a backlash.

Yes, it makes something you should have expected and planned for and makes it more visible when you go there when you aren’t supposed to, other than that it’s no different from any SFW spam. I haven’t seen anyone spamming porn in non-RP, only in places where porn is allowed in the first place.

Personally, I like to RP “hacker” as “conceited know-it-all”, but I’m not sure if that’s really “hackery” enough, as in “would anybody else recognize that I’m playing this character that is perilously close to how I am IRL”. But really, nobody’s going to recognize the genius of my RPing anyway, and it sort of ruins it if you have to explain it.
About this, the other character clbumes are based on a stereotypical online personality, while the hacker clbum is based on a skill, thus there really isn’t any need for a specific “hacker personality” to be defined, but if I had to say, going by the in game cut scenes, I would say hackers would be stereotypical nerds, smart, but no social skills. But I think it would be more fun to have hackers just be anyone who can hack, and their personality could be whatever they want, eg. troll hackers, emo hackers, conceited hackers, ext.

You could stick to GD or the srsly forums. They don’t have porn spam.
Well, all RP forums are NSFW by default, if you’re worried about getting in trouble you shouldn’t go there during work at all.

Umm, that is exactly what I said. The. same. exact. thing. You spam dragons because people don’t like it. People start spamming things you don’t like(because you couldn’t come here during work anymore with porn spam). You start whistling a new tune right after to stop it.
