Yes, anybody with half a brain (which rules out 99% of all humanity) knows what “original emo” was. Rites of Spring and Embrace were great bands, sure. But the fact is that people look at me and label me “emo” and they don’t mean “I bet you are a big fan of emotive hardcore”. It is frustrating to listen to such amazing music as I do and be lumped in with trendy idiots, but I refuse to change my style to suit the perceptions of others.
I know that most music I listen to is not “real” or “fake” Emo, but what I listen to IS emotional, so I choose to discuss it here. If anyone does not like it, they are free to **** off and die. More oxygen for me. (view post) |

TOP TEN EMO RECORDSI agree that “trendy emo music” is ****, but “goth” is what most people immediately think when they hear Bauhaus, JD and LPD. I won’t lower myself to fight over genre labels with someone who calls other people “****male reproductive organ”. Perhaps you should learn some manners and you might not live a cold, friendless existance.
