The Next AdventureWell, I’ve now run into a proplem. I have some ideas for the next game, but im not entirely sure what to do. I have some proposals, but anyone can add their opinions.
Option 1 It’s the late 20th century. You’re a detective who is on the case of a murder, some one named Arthus Thelby. But only a few days into the case, some one tries to kill you! This is far deeper than you thought, and most of your not sure what to do, until you get a mysterious phone call.
Option 2 It’s set in medieval times. You have been imprisoned for a crime that you did not commit, and you’re to be hanged in the morning. But, you escape. You’re now felling across the countries, trying to evade the might of the king.
Option 3 Its set in the future. Your on a large spatial hotel, but its rather decrepit. You hear strange noises in the night. When you wake up, you find all of the people in the hotel have been mbumacred. Now it’s a desperate fight for survival and you try to get out of this prison.
Ive tried to make them all different, but i can pretty much make an okayish adventure out of any of them. Good good. (view post) |

The benefits or harm of the concept of 'God(s)'Sigh. Arguments that neither side can win are not cool. But the title of this thread is, “The benefits or harm of the concept of ‘God(s)’”
The harms. Currently, alot of people are doing things in the name of their god. Actualy, its been going on for a long time, but becuase of the media, it is getting more and more prominent. Its Terrorism. You cant wage a war agenst it, more than you can wage a war agenst the sun. The inquizitions, the which burnings, 911, they are all the same thing. Terroism. We are going to have to chose, one day soon, weither too keep believe in God.
God has done far more harm, historicaly, than good. Who says that can change? (view post) |

He never did. All that you need to think of is, “Would the world work if god did not exist?” And if the awnser is yes, gods existance is meaningless. (view post) |

Look, if god judged on ethics rather than belief, then you wouldnt need to go to church on sundays. Or do anything religious for that matter. (view post) |

The benefits or harm of the concept of 'God(s)'Okay. Thats fine i guess.
And yay for google and ctnl+c
Evolution is a valid scientific theory supported by a considerable body of evidence, not the least of which is the observable phenomenon of species adapting to their environment.
Christianity says god did it, which is the equivalent of saying that an unknowable being, through unknowable means, created all species as they presently exist (or in the case of extinct species, have existed). Saying I don’t know doesn’t qualify as an explanation. No explanation is not a better foundation than a supported explanation. (view post) |

Eh. Tring to uproot someones belief is like tring to lift a mountain. A mountain made of false truths and lies. But hey, I went to a Catholic school, and they taught us stuff about religion, and I asked a couple of questions, got sent to the chouncelor, and i never belived what they told me again.
