This, but sticking with the ‘school’ and education’ theme for your yearbook…
“People whose concept of ancient history is the first series of Star Trek may be treated with patience, because it’s usually not their fault they were reduced to getting their education from school.”
“We got a talk about it at school. There’s lots of stuff most girls can’t do, but you’ve got to pretend they can, so that more of them will.” — Sexism explained
“His philosophy was a mixture of three famous schools — the Cynics, the Stoics and the Epicureans — and summed up all three of them in his famous phrase, ‘You can’t trust any bugger further than you can throw him, and there’s nothing you can do about it, so let’s have a drink.’”
“Getting an education was a bit like a communicable sexual disease. It made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you had the urge to pbum it on.”
“(Your name here) was superstitious about books. He thought that if you had enough of them around, education leaked out, like radioactivity.”
“The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.”
“While I’m still confused and uncertain, it’s on a much higher plane, d’you see, and at least I know I’m bewildered about the really fundamental and important facts of the universe. We’ve really pushed back the boundaries of ignorance.”
“They both savoured the strange warm glow of being much more ignorant than ordinary people, who were only ignorant of ordinary things.”
“Give a man a fire and he’s warm for a day, but set fire to him and he’s warm for the rest of his life.”
“Sometimes, the best answer is a more interesting question.”
”As humans, we have invented lots of useful kinds of lie. As well as lies-to-children (as much as they can understand) there are lies-to-bosses (as much as they need to know) lies-to-patients (they won’t worry about what they don’t know) and, for all sorts of reasons, lies-to-ourselves. Lies-to-children is simply a prevalent and neccesary kind of lie. Universities are very familiar with bright, qualified school-leavers who arrive and then go into shock on finding that biology or physics isn’t quite what they’ve been taught so far. ‘Yes, but you needed to understand that,’ they are told, ‘so that now we can tell you why it isn’t exactly true.’ Teachers know this, and use it to demonstrate why universities are truly storehouses of knowledge: students arrive from school confident that they know very nearly everything, and they leave years later certain that they know practically nothing. Where did the knowledge go in the meantime? Into the university, of course, where it is carefully dried and stored.”

“The Monks of Cool, whose tiny and exclusive monastery is hidden in a really cool and laid-back valley in the lower Ramtops, have a pbuming-out test for a novice. He is taken into a room full of all types of clothing and asked: Yo, my son, which of these is the most stylish thing to wear? And the correct answer is: Hey, whatever I select.” (view post) |

Cool! I didn’t realise that a re-re could ‘morph’ into anything BUT a re-re.
And I know… I could be Forumwarz Wiki-ing the everliving crap out of all of this BUT- I’m a retiring Min/Maxer. I’d rather have some fun and/or talk with the community about it.
I’m trying not to spoiler myself into oblivion with this one. The episode two walkthrough keeps beckoning, and yet I will give it no power over me.

Choosing an AltSo.
The brownie points finally arrived – And I’m looking for some input as I get ready to choose my first Alt.
As you can see, my main is a Hacker (which I found out afterwards is on the low end of the scale power-wise)and I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions concerning my next character.
From the veterans out there, what character clbum has a playstyle or special attacks that differ from a Hacker the most?

Suggestion: Allow Consumable to be sold in stacksSarcasm Inc Posted:

Salient fact finally addressed.
And you’re right, the consumable issue seems much more trivial right now… on the ‘purchasing from Herbal bumault’ end, of course.
But MC BanHammer did get the gist of my post. Being able to stack and sell in Kyoubai seems to make sense. There is probably always going to be a market for Act 1 ‘stick in the muds’ (Like me until 2 hours ago) that want to purchase Act 2 items. And possibly even a larger market when Act 3 comes out.
Selling a few dozen ‘andy male reproductive organ (feat. carrot top) – stand up comedy – vol 1.hear’ as one stack in the Ppwn Shoppe would be nice as well, don’t know why everything BUT the moar. files stack when it comes right down to it.
But hindsight is 20/20, and I can see that in the face of the larger issues, this is MOAR. than a little trivial Log in to see images!
“The Yen Buddhists are the richest religious sect in the universe. They hold that the acgreat timesulation of money is a great evil and a burden to the soul. They therefore, regardless of personal hazard, see it as their unpleasant duty to acquire as much as possible in order to reduce the risk to innocent people.”

Suggestion: Allow Consumable to be sold in stacksTitle pretty much says it all. What do you think? I’m just a wee 33rd level hacker, and attacking Dykea and up, I’m using around 10 x 5-htps a forum. That makes for around 40 auctions folowed by 40 Tubmails, and is a bit of a time sink.
What do you think? Is it doable? Implementable?

“Wobbler had written an actual computer game like this once. It was called ‘Journey to Alpha Centauri’. It was a screen with some dots on it. Because, he said, it happened in *real time*, which no-one had ever heard of until computers. He’d seen on TV that it took three thousand years to get to Alpha Centauri. He had written it so that if anyone kept their computer on for three thousand years, they’d be rewarded by a little dot appearing in the middle of the screen, and then a message saying, ‘Welcome to Alpha Centauri. Now go home.’”
