More like ‘Black ring containing the power to reanimate all of DC’s dead heroes (except Batman) to use them for the evil and nefarious purpose of eliminating all life from the universe’. It is a very good read, but I wouldn’t do it without reading the last 10 to 12 months of Green Lantern first. Blackest Night is worth it just to see Martian Manhunter, Earth 2 Superman and Lois Lane, The Blue Beetle Log in to see images!, Max lord, Hawkman and Hawkgirl, Elastic Man and Sue Dibney, Clark Kent’s father, and many other dead heroes return as very evil, very powerful undead. Ah, I miss the good ol’ days Booster and Beetle and Guy, Khund Invasion, Metagene etc in the JL. What’s the new Beetle kid like compared to Ted Kord?

(Excalibur) I’m in, I bumume it’s all available as collections? I know for sure that the first 50 issues were made into trades, but I’m not sure after that. They exist virtually I’m sure. In that dark horrible place on the internet that hurts true comic sales

Batman has not been a good read for a while, except Detective Comics when Paul Dini was writing it. This saddens me greatly.Yes, he (Martian Manhunter) was killed by a cabal of no name hacks in Final Crisis, and his zombie is now back in Blackest Night.A zombie, eh? As in ‘Marvel Zombie’ zombie or ‘Helpful undead he can’t really die he’s a shapeshifter’ zombie? (I read a lot of XCalibur long ago)Never read it, should I? Oh, absolutely – worth it to go back to ‘88 and start at the beginning with Alan Davis and Chris Claremont. Ellis joins in later on. A hidden gem of 10 year run imho. 345 BP CONTEST: Kaiser Wilhelm II BackgroundSorry DerKaiserReich, I don’t have an artistic bone in my body – I can’t even draw a straight line.
The hardest part for me was finding a large enough picture of ‘Kaiser Bill’, because when working in 1600x900 them darn pixels become pretty noticable. I settled on a nice bust and went from there.

My favorite so far. Found some nice red/white/black/gold ‘thought’ lines to add to the bust, faded an old map of Prussia and an Iron cross.

Simple, but as in the above wall there is visible text… I’m not sure if that disqualifies it or not – I’m hoping that you only meant “Don’t ADD text manually.” Either way, the large visible “Das Alte Preussen” Can be taken out.

“Regrets”
A little too busy… I’m still tweaking this one. I spent a lot of time on the “Dying Nation” bird – I’m still trying to find a way to use it.
All in all, everything you see can be tweaked and/or mixed and matched. Each one has 4-8 layers that can be moved around, resized and deleted to your liking.
More to come as the ideas arrive
