Well, I still read it but I was always pretty heavily into it. I would hate to misadvise you here. If you liked it before, its still worth it imo, but I will make a note about the trolls. Their story completely dominates a whole act which is almost half a years worth of pages. And after that they are still a major part of the story, and if you don’t like them they are not going away.
They also introduced a lot of fan shipping, so depending on how involved you want to get in the fanbase(and my recommended level is, not at all) that could be annoying. But that’s only party the fault of the fans, since the actual story is in some parts made specifically to fuel the shipping fires. And of course the main storyline only gets more complicated, there are probably plots from when you stopped reading that are not resolved yet. I don’t really think that is a problem though, as I believe the story still fits together fine and doesn’t suffer from too much fragmentation by way of an ever growing multitude of plot lines. Some people might disagree with me on that though.
So I guess ultimately the answer is, yes but based on your preferences and how much you like the trolls. There’s some amazing flashes later on, although most of the troll arc(act 5.1) doesn’t have any, as well as walkaround minigames etc. Basically, if you really liked the part you read I don’t see why you wouldn’t continue to like it. But if you’re not really feeling the story that’s cool too, its certainly a lot to wade though if by the end you go “meh”. hth Log in to see images! This is the part where Single Tingle turns into Double Trouble and ends up in If you don’t fall for the joke, you get to be in on it. |
