If you were to ask anyone how they get lucky, no one is going to say “its my disheveled pube forest. one wiff and they can’t get enough” What about people who have sex at a very young age, before they even have the time to properly develop pubes? They are some of the best, and I don’t think they attribute their success to their pubes either.

again, i think if we’re going to question why pubes exist, it’s necessary to look at it from an evolutionary standpoint. perhaps the most pheromones are emitted when a woman is ovulating (most fertile), so then she’d have the strongest scent and be most appealing to men. it would make sense to have some adaptation that preserves this scent. and it’s really rare that people have sex before they get pubes; girls develop them as young as nine.
