I know it’s totally cliche to whine about your family (hell, it’s basically the first attack an Emo gets), but I just need to put this somewhere.

I am in love. I am in love with someone who I have never brought home because I do not know what they will say to or about him.

The worst part is, I want to move in with him. Ordinarily this wouldn’t be a big deal, but my university requires that everyone live on campus, so if I want to move in with him, I need to transfer to another school, or preferably an online school. Which neither of my parents will support.

Both of them went to a small private school where they met each other and got married. The school I’m at says that 10% of the attendees here end up marrying someone else who attended here. (which is probably inflated by the fact that you can live off-campus if you’re married)

Since they went to that small school themselves, they believe in the whole small campus small community sort of thing and have no faith in online schools, even though that’s what I want to do. Since they are paying that majority of my tuition, my education is pretty limited to what they will pay for.

Meaning I will probably have to choose between what might be my only shot at truly loving someone, or not having to live under the burden of a huge education debt.

FML
