Level 35 Emo Kid

I haven't seen a bad idea that I didn't like.

As someone who is a bewildering mish-mosh of about 10 different easily stereotyped and ridiculed “labels,” I kind of see both sides. I’ve been on the side that gets ridiculed a lot, and I don’t really mind.

Just because I’m not afraid of the person I am, I offer this:

1. I am a Christ-follower.

2. I am a furry.

3. I am a ridiculously perverted deviant.

4. I am an upper-clbum white male.

5. I wear chains, spikes, collars, leather, the works.

6. I am a musician.

7. Since it’s the most important to me, it belongs twice. I am a Christ-follower.

And to the outside person, it doesn’t make sense. I’ve been accused of being a poser, a fake, a liar, a furfabulous person, a regular fabulous person, an emo, a hypocrite, basically everything you can think of. If you give me time and an open mind, I can explain how such a mangle can co-exist (which I won’t get into here.)

The names used to bother me; however, I got over it. I don’t need anothers’ acceptance for my own self-validation.

Likewise, implicit within that, I don’t need to bumert my dominance or edginess over women or those who hold different ideals and viewpoints than I do. I think the “MACHO MEN” who try to one-up themselves over everyone else are really no different than the ‘weak, co-dependent’ women they mock. Their sense of self-worth is tied to being perceived as the bigger, stronger personality. In truth, it’s those who are merely content who are truly the “strong.”

Personally, I’d rather discuss and philosophize differences than argue (which has also gotten me hella flak.) People have a lot of hatred for what they don’t understand or don’t agree with. I agree with Scully in that it would be prudent for us to step back and remind ourselves that we typed in the “I am not easily offended.” as well.

Look, shock images! I’m edgy! Please remember me.
