How the hell IS Buildr score determined?

I’ve had 20 submissions downvoted to -5 (back when I was trying for Enemies peen), and say one makes it into the forum. I still get +2 Buildr score.

My very first week I sent in my 7 submissions and nothing got in. I got +1 score.

I’ve spoken to people who’ve said they’ve submitted material and gotten nothing accepted, but still got +2. And I still have no clue how you get negative score.

To the best of my knowledge, if your score is 0, and everything you submit gets -5’d, you get -1. (EDIT: dobnits has informed me that it is possible to lose points even if you have more than 0.) If you submit and nothing gets in, you get +1. If you submit and get anything at all in, you get +2.
