nah, that sounds way too complex

just make sure that auctions are 100% anonymous/identical and that they don’t appear right away, but all at rollover. also add some additional mechanismus to curb abuse, such as the proposed restriction that alts can’t bid on each others’ items and maybe also some kind of limit values for items so that you can’t sell Chinese food junk for 100,000. There will be still abuse, but at least it shouldn’t **** up the game too much.
