I dunno about maintainance or anything, but a fee to start one in the first place would cut down on all the ****ty klans out there. Also klan points seems pretty nifty, but don’t make them affect the players themselves with extra visits or anything like that, just make them things that only matter in the context of the klan – like lifting caps on how many members and officers you can have, some sort of +1 competitive edge for klan v klan, etc.
