People worshipped deities because they didn’t have science to prove it. Many of the Greek, Norse, and Egyptian gods are based off of things that can be explained by science nowadays. The Native Americans were no different. They had things that ‘explained’ why the sun went up, or the moon was so bright, or why people fought… different things.
