Once I asked my mum that if in the afterlife I went to Hell and she went to Heaven, would she feel sorrow. She paused a while and said that she cannot feel sorrow in heaven, and our family bond would be broken anyway. I pressed on and said that if you cannot feel sorrow then you would not feel joy also because those feelings are the result of the change in mood, not the mood itself. She gave up. |
