I think they don’t wanna celebrate it because it’s a heathen tradition. but if you follow that logic, those schools might as well not celebrate Christmas because in reality Christmas has never been about Christ but was in fact a heathen holiday that Christians took over to make Christianity more appealing to the heathen tribes celebrating it. (I think it were Germanic tribes)
