Imagine a world without emotions, without feelings, without love, without hate. Everyone takes a drug to suppress the highs and lows of their emotions. Trained clerics patrol the streets looking for people who went off their dose. Anything but the most stark and utilitarian is verboten.

I think I would go crazy and have to choose between getting shot by a Grammaton cleric or burning in the Hall of Destructiohn like that character Mary that Emily Watson played. That’s if I’m stuck in the city. I’d rather be in the nethers alone with my copy of Yeats.

Then again, Christian Bale makes me weak in my knees. He’s almost as hot as Andrew Eldritch.
