While that may be true, there’s no guarantee that any of them would remain in their own bracket, as clearly things were different this round from last and no one knew exactly what would happen. Someone else in, say, a raiding klan could’ve come into any of those brackets and cleaned up their sole opponent.

I seem to remember an entire klan taking advantage of vanilla scoops in order to “force” a change to the way they worked…

Bottom line: Bracketing, like other aspects of the game, aren’t exactly fine-tuned, and people will, fairly or not, take advantage of anything they find. So yeah, this should probably be fixed. As should other things.
