Regarding Draconic, only the main two generals were Dragons, really; most of the actual fighting was done by your average mercenary man/elf/dwarf and so on. The dragons were too intelligent to appear too often on the battlefield unless absolutely necessary, being such a huge target of opportunity for the enemy, so unless you had direct access to the general you’re unlikely to know Draconic.
However, if you so desired, you could take Draconic as an additional language (as opposed to your bonus language), but you must spend skill points on it. Such is the life of a fighter, unfortunately. Log in to see images!
